Pac Biz Standing Committees
Pac Biz's objectives fall into three categories that form the foundation of the association: Professional Development, Outreach, and Resources.
Professional Development Committee
The purpose of the Professional Development Committee is to create an efficient and convenient forum for exchanging ideas and sharing knowledge.
Objectives include:
- mentorship program
- internship program
- educational program
- develop/define best practices
- business and career counseling services
- workshop/conference development
- tradeshows/festivals
Outreach Committee
The purpose of the Outreach Committee is to establish relationships with our Pacific Islander Professional community to garner new memberships and connect the ideas and practices of Pac Biz to the efforts of other organizations, groups, specific audiences and the general public.
Objectives include:
- business mixers
- member benefits development
- marketing strategy development
- workshops/conference participation
- community service
- philanthropy
- civic engagement
Resources Committee
The purpose of the Resources Committee is to provide guidance, access and exposure to business practices and processes through a collection of quality editorial content, forms and directories to assist business owners and professionals in achieving financial, marketing, and customer service goals. The Committee accomplishes this through maintaining an online presence, with features including:
- networking tools
- business directory
- events calendar
- original and repurposed articles library
- business forms
- resources listing: funding sources and strategies (grants, etc.), business and career counseling services
- multimedia tools
Managing Pac Biz's administration and governance affairs is the fourth standing committee: Administrative.
Administrative Committee
The purpose of the Administrative Committee is to handle all of the network's administrative and governance matters and forward recommendations to the General Membership for approval. This committee is made up of at least one member from each of the three core committees: Outreach, Professional Development, and Resources.
